I converted my FAA license to EASA license in 2016, but I haven't been able to fly there much that year. In 2017, I reached out to my friends from COPA (Cirrus Owners and Pilots Association) and flew in France and in Spain. Via another friend in Poland, I gained access to a beautiful Maule and we flew it over the country.
One memorable experience from that year was my flight in Courchevel, an extraordinary mountain airport with 18% upslope in French Alps. You can read more about it in my blog and watch in the video below.
After a very long break, I also returned to gliders and did a magnificant soaring flight out of the Gap airport, see this blog entry. If you never flew a glider, try it and quickly sign up for the glider license. You will learn about flying from that.
